India did well batting first 164 is likely to be very competitive

England will have to bat very well to avoid an upset

Dunkley already gone.... 28-1 after 3 overs

and of course, they don't. Loads of run outs suggests a fair bit of panic out there, when the cause might have been better served by cool heads.

At least it means they won't lose to Australia in the final, so that's a bonus

This might be unfair, but this year in particular, with England white ball teams (inc the men) I find myself feeling that if their opponent doesn't allow themselves to be bullied out of the match, then the game's up

Feel the women messed that up completely. Not to say India didn't play really well - full credit to their death bowling : but Sciver and Jones had it down to just 33 off four overs with that 15 run over and with 7 in hand that should have been easy. Both getting run out going for runs that were not needed was just silly cricket. Surely if Nat had settled for one run , she would at worst have been on strike for the last over needing 14 : much better than a suicide leaving two new bats in.
In fairness I guess the bowlers had been poor earlier though I didn't see any of the Indian innings.

Suppose the team is in reset mode anyway after some retirements ; and with Knight injured they were missing a big calming influence. No need to panic but they'll be disappointed with that.

And the inevitable Australian victory.

Actually didn't look too inevitable five overs out ! Think India rather threw that away with some panicky running - though massive credit to the Australian fielder with some excellent throwing when needed .

England managing to lose the bronze play off bemuses me : I know it is t20 ; but really they ought to have put up better than that. Almost as if they lost interest after the semi final loss. Leaving Beaumont out doesn't look brilliant in retrospect.
