T20 Blast 2026

I'd completely forgotten about this, but the format has changed this year.

12 matches, 3 groups of 6, 10 group matches played home and away with an additional 2 matches crossing over to the other groups. Apparently every year the cross over matches will be against different teams, so presumably after 6 years each county will have played group games against every other county

Sound complicated? This is the ECB.... take it for granted!

If you haven't put your teams in for the FL, why haven't you? Get on with it!

I find it a little odd that one of the two teams from other groups that Durham play is Northants, who have been in the same group as Durham since..... forever

feels like a distinct lack of imagination

Yesterday Graham Clark hit 50 off 18

something in the water, I reckon

50 off 20 becomes 74 off 26

Dan Hughes is just letting him get on with

92-0 at the end of the PP

Sussex have fizzled out a bit

after passing 100 in the 8th over, they now have 4 balls to get to 200. Credit to the Kent slower bowlers for dragging that right back. 200 is a good score, but it looked as though 230, 240, maybe even 250 was on

197 in the end

might be plenty, of course

I thought the whole point of fewer matches across three groups was to get rid of the back to back matches that had crept into the comp in recent years thereby protecting player welfare.

yet here we are with Glammy and Somerset in action today after playing each other yesterday.... and both losing, which has generally been the usual outcome
