Forget that, the Czech's are going for it.

Both teams have thrown a few punches, but now it's definitely in fizzle stage. England have looked half arsed all this half

Seems to have become a friendly almost.

Sancho is only get any minutes this tournament it seems? Haha, just come on

Kane once again seems the weaker link at present. As SP says he seems knackered.

Don't know. The closest I know is when Gattuso said sometimes good, sometimes sh*t...

Probably not as poetic

From the games i have seen i think a brave manager might drop Kane for the next match.

As for the others up front it seems we are no clearer on who gets the nod.

Sterling, Rashford, Kane, Fodon, Grealish, Mount, Saka, Sancho, Calvert-Lewin.

Any of them will do a good job but who works best together?

Only Sterling is nailed on for me at present

I think Grealish has to replace mount based on the tournament. Saka did himself some favours, but I reckon he will go with the first game team plus Maguire unless someone gets injured.

Brave to drop Kane. I think I'd give him 50 minutes and see what happens. He played ok first half but clearly isn't fully fit after a long season and faded badly in each match. If it happens again, he has to pull him early. He may as well not have been there second half .. Henderson knocked a decent ball to him and he was running in treacle....

I watched the first half, but I figured that the one goal was probably all England had in them and that the second half was likely to be fraught with danger and bad for the nerves, so I went to bed

Sako looked good. All the energy came from him really

Still...... only one match to go and then we can put this whole sorry business behind us

Having contrived to finish second, what's the betting that Croatia end up with Slovakia?

It would be a big call to bench Kane - and I doubt he'd do it for this one. I actually thought he was a lot sharper in this game , if still not fully up to speed. Agree with Sussex he may best be used basically just for the first half. Not as if they don't have a few replacement options to provide fresh legs...

Hope Saka starts. Loved his pace and enterprise. He and Grealish really seemed to give the first half a sparkle that hadn't been apparent before : could have easily been more than the one goal. Presume Mount will be unavailable for this next game due to the isolation thing ?

I think the extra day because England topped the group means he is available. Had we finished second, the next match would have been a day too soon

Southgate has so many options going forward. Kane will play, unless fit as will Sterling.

That leaves Grealish, Foden, Mount, Rashford, Sancho and Saka vying for the other two more attacking roles, providing he plays Rice and Philips or Henderson in the other two midfield positions. Who to be a manager!

I'd love to see Grealish and Foden roaming around causing havoc but not sure Southgate will.

England players are close contacts, but Scotland's manager, who can be seen kissing the guy on the cheek at the final whistle, apparently isnt a risk. Nor are any of his team-mates sharing rooms or spaces with him.

Scotland are going to say they have kept distance - meanwhile, Andy Robertson and McGinn scrambled to delete videos of their social media accounts they posted a couple of days ago joking around with him playing games in the hotel. If a single player from Croatia subsequently tests positive after tonight, as the croatian government/FA I would be demanding an investigation and a International football ban for Scotland. This cannot be right?

I mean, you really trying to tell me Gilmour has had no close contacts? Because even on the evidence of the match ending the other day, quite clearly he breaks social distancing rules with a few of his team mates and managers.

I have little confidence in the coronavirus protocols for the football Euros.

It seems to be a case of let's put three players in isolation, to show that we're actually doing something but we won't do anything to interfere with the football.

It's all for show, and other people who have to adhere to restrictions will resent these double standards.

Quite!

Shows how the football Euros are just paying lip service to the coronavirus protocols.

Could have shipped a few too. The Czechs finished poorly but moved the ball around quicker and got sucked back into their own half less when they had the ball. England had more posession but didn't create more chances. If England are going to be that flaky at the back, they're going to let in goals eventually. I thought a draw would have been a better reflection of the game.

Who de want next? Maybe Hungary will beat Germany and put a cat amongst the pigeons?

France seem the obvious team to miss. Germany have pace up front, which will be a test for our CB's. Portugal have guile and a certain Ronaldo.
