Scottish football is not in a good place.

Molde qualified tonight, considering their group and the bookies had them underdogs in all games (and big underdogs, 5-1 today!!) they have done really well to not only qualify, but to do it with 2 games left.

Whats the best a Norwegian team has done in Europe in recent seasons SP?

Molde's success in qualifying this year is probably the best in over 5 years. Rosenborg have done well about a decade ago, but the format of the competitions really prevent the lower clubs mostly from getting anywhere due to seeding and the Champions League fallout reaching the Europa cup.

Rosenborg made the Group stage of a couple of champions league, and got murdered because they always got at least two beast teams in their group. Then around the same time they had a few qualifications from the Europa group stage, only to get a Champions League team filter down to the Europa league and get beaten.

Generally teams have done poorly though by being knocked out early rounds by other European driftwood teams.

After a slow start to the season, Harry Kane can't stop scoring.

He's got Artur Boruc to thank!

Daniel Sturridge supposed to return for Liverpool tonight. Guess what he's injured again!

You begin to wonder if its become a state of mind for him, and won't ever play until he's 100 per cent fit, which is a virtual impossibility.

Nice balancing act by the ref in the Liverpool v Bordeaux game. After penalising Mignolet for holding onto the ball for 22 seconds and Bordeaux scoring from the indirect free kick inside the box, he then gives Liverpool a very soft penalty.

Can't remember the last time a keeper was pulled up exceeding the 6 second rule, must be at least 4 or 5 seasons ago. Mind you 22 seconds is a bit bloody excessive.

Spurs 3 goals up at half time.

They seem to be taking this tournament seriously.

The seedings in the competition must have been set my an idiot though.... win the group with the highest number of points, get the Champions of the competition who drop out of the Champions League.

Fenebache finish second in the group and get Lokomotiv Moscow who have never been passed the groups..... Molde finish first and get the most successful team ever in the competition
