unfortunately Neuer was never in with a shout, however it must be said, that he's had the season of his life, and he is a class keeper!!

I often wonder if he was a bit overrated. I'm not old enough to have seen Moore, so shouldn't really comment. Of course I've seen clips, but you could make a montage of heskey and make him look like Pele.

I see that David Luiz was named CB in the fifa team of the year.

Must have got that for his positional sense during the World Cup semi final against Germany :hmmm

Probably didn't matter to Messi whether he finished 2nd or 3rd so they probably gave Neuer the runner-up spot for turning up.
