Iran's last minute goal has caused the upset of the round so far. No-one (either on these boards, or any pundits I've seen) gave them a chance of anything better than a draw against Morocco. Australia will feel a little hard done by there. Probably a fair result overall (one shot on target all night from the Green and Gold), but the first penalty was a very narrow call, and how Umtiti didn't get carded for a deliberate handball in the area I'll never know.

France's quality won out in the end, but a respectable performance from Aus, and less than expected from France. Still don't fancy Australia to get out of the group, but if they can match that performance against Peru and Denmark, you never know.
