I wasn't aware of this.

Things were a lot easier on the days of the European Cup, European Cup Winners Cup, and UEFA Cup.

Wasn't it 2nd to 5th from div one for the UEFA Cup?

Yes I think so. Unless someone finished there and won the FA Cup.

I believe, but can be proved wrong, that the Champions League winner takes a place regardless of position in the league, and that no extra place is given to the 5th place team if they qualify anyway, but no team is also removed from that division..... they had an extra qualifying round between the two lowest ranked teams when it happened with Chelsea.

I also believe that the Europa League winners place is already included in the quota for the competition , so an extra place is given to that domestic group?

Silva off injured, and not being replaced by Sterling.

Is Sterling injured?

0-0 after your home leg is a pretty reasonable result.

Yep City should be happy with that. Though Real started to dominate the game towards the end. Still a very big ask to get through to the final

Hart was quite sensational. He will need to be in the Euros as well given the defence.

If Man City score in Spain they might just do this.

I suspect they won't though.

They may but you can see Madrid getting a couple if Ronaldo returns.

I still don't like the guy, has to punch everything that comes anywhere near him, and prone to the odd howler.
