He was clearly kicked...maybe you have a different feed to me, but even the commentators didn't disagree.

One of us is missing something, but as far as I see it, Samaras went to kick the ball and hits his own foot

I thought it was a dive at first, but when they showed the slow replay from behind him, he is clearly kicked.

Just saw it.. Sounds like you are right.

Not sure a Greece vs Costa Rica is a game many would've predicted in the final 16 though. Worst last 16 game ever in WC history?

James Rodriguez is unbelievable. Got him at 80/1 to be Golden Boot winner before the tournament, joint 2nd at the moment.

At least one of my predictions is looking good.... https://twitter.com/Sportskeeda/status/ ... 6082468864

I predicted Ivory Coast to top group C, Spain to top group B, and England to finish at least 3rd in Group D. :no

the only surprising thing was that he do any of that stuff against England

although with his Liverpool buddy feeding him the ball for the 2 goals he scored, he probably didn't feel the need

I've learnt not to allow my opinions to be dictated by these so-called pundits....

If that was a penalty for Greece, then Fred's was a stonewall penalty.

And as for that penalty won by Diego Costa....
:texas!
It's funny, but I find English pundits are quick to accuse non-Europeans of trying to win penalties (Fred), but are not so quick to say that same about similar awards concerning Europeans (Diego Costa, Greece, etc).

On that basis, I place little stock in what Lineker and his friends have to say....

Costa Rica is a very good team...just ask Italy and Uruguay.

Just because they're not an established team in the pantheon of world football, it doesn't mean that this is the "worst" knockout game.
