Impressed that Chelsea & Man City have virtual identical records in the table re goals scored and conceded.

Liverpool's best ever player?

Not for me. I put Dalglish & Keegan higher.

Most overrated player in the history of the Premier League. All Hollywood, for the highlight reel. Pointlessly blasts 14 shots a week aimlessly over the bar, or losses the ball trying 60 yard cross field passes when a 5 yard option is on.

Pedant.

I originally didn't put the goals bit in the end of the sentence but when I did I forgot to omit the word virtual.

If you are referring to ability then its John Barnes for me, totally shackled himself mentally for England, but was breathtakingly brilliant when he played for Liverpool.

I did like the whole " I wont play for a rival club, I couldn't play against Liverpool nonsense"....

Roughly translated..... I am not good enough to play for a top 6 club anymore, and am going to leave to play in China or USA for a pay day before I hang up the boots.

All these retirement announcements are so commonplace and tedious these days. Retiring from international football because you aren't getting picked for the national team any more, announcing you are leaving a club around four months before you actually do. So he's still going to play on presumably with Lampard in America, he hasn't said he isn't playing football anymore. Non news story until he actually bloody goes.

I hear Gerrard has made the announcement now so as to prevent speculation about his future distracting the team for the rest of the season. Bloody hell mate you think a lot of yourself.

Maybe him and Lamps can eventually sign for Salford City, and Paul Scholes will be forced to play in goal while they take it in turns to smash Hollywood long balls out for throw ons.

Gerrard could have been a legendary Rugby Fly Half

If I hear another Sky announcer say they are still waiting for confirmation from Crystal Palace that Pardew has become their new manager I think I'll put my boot through the tv.
