Only saw it once, never paid much attention to the goal keeper, but there have been a number of ordinary attempts at saving balls at this tourney. I've heard a lot of goalkeepers these days are in a secret society called "Manis and Pedis forever" and are in fear of breaking their nails. :dunno

He was half way across the goal and saw he was obviously never going to make it. No keeper would have saved that IMO, Messi couldn't have got it more in the top right corner.

It wasn't right in the top corner though, unless i'm going mad? It was the fact he never attempted to dive which made me think he thought it was going wide.

Pretty close to it, anyway there was no way he was getting it.

A decent keeper would have got a hand to it, no doubt. Saving it from going in is another thing. Look where the keeper was when it went in. He wasn't a mile away.

You're kidding me? If so, then he should definitely be getting there. Maybe he was starstruck by the great Messi?

Yep, most cleans sheets in Europe last season. Went about 12 games without letting in a goal for Lille. Also, Nigeria were the only team to have not conceded before today.

He saved a great free kick from Messi earlier in the game but this one was just too good from the genius. I think you're the only one saying he should have saved it, everyone else is going on about how Messi produced one of the goals of the tournament. Being a bit harsh i think.

Shaqiri scored a great goal early on for Switzerland. Definitely up there with Cahill and co.

Budget said he should have dived as well. I didn't say he should have saved it, just tried to. If he had tried, then he would have got a hand to it. I'm 100% sure of that. Whether he saved it or not is a different debate. I personally think he would have been lucky to.

Yep, I think Enyeama had a pretty good game personally.

As far as the Messi FK goes, it was unstoppable. NO GK in the world would of saved it.
