Not going to drift into the analysis too much, we know England were the better team, we know that they should have won. We should look on this as positive, not many times in a major tournament have England played that well. They didnt win, but on another day they take the lead early and bang in 4 or 5.

I reckon they've done England a big favour in the process.... we won't get to the last game now with no points to Slovakia's one point, knowing we have to beat them to progress

after Slovakia draw with Russia, and Bale beats everybody, we are back to that 'having to beat Slovakia in the final game to progress' scenario.

I'm feeling fairly pessimistic about that, tbh

England are awful under pressure... when it really matters.... which is why they hardly ever win KO matches

I think Northern Ireland could beat Poland. Germany should have no trouble and the first game of the day I reckon will be a draw.

Not sure this championship shouldn't be resticted to 16, to keep the quality up. One continent isn't going to sustain so many teams of a high standard, though it will be good for viewing figures.

Yeah the slow mo always makes it look worse but it looked like fell down rather than go down. I' glad it went in tbh. Croatia have played pretty well.

In years gone by Poland had all their players stolen by Germany.... this is by far and away the best polish team ever, and going to take a good team to knock them out.
