That is a kick, much worse than Beckhams.

I can see either argument, if I'm being honest.

One thing this world cup certainly highlights is the vast differences between countries and the way we think. Mexico for example having little problem with their fans homophobic behavior, and now the Uruguayan President saying "We didn't choose him to be a philosopher, or a mechanic, or to have good manners... he's a great player" in reference to you know who. How many hundred years are these guys behind the rest of us?

Apparently it is raining cats and dogs where Germany and the USA are due to play and it is not impossible that the game may not go ahead, but very unlikely.
The ref will check pitch at 11 am eastern time, so that's 4 pm England time I believe.

USA V Germany will go ahead regardless of the pitch condition.

If there was a delay the Portugal V Ghana match would be delayed.

Suits USA if the pitch is bad, makes a draw more likely.

Hope so, but I feel the USA have overachieved so far and if we hadn't seen those previous results you would expect this to be a big win for Germany.

Thats to be expected though, you won't find players blasting team-mates publicly, was disappointed to see Gaston Ramirezs comments, but I expected nothing less with a camera pointed in his face.

Maybe not blasting them, but I would hope they would remain a least a little sheepish on the matter. Anyway at least he got something and it may not be the last.

I actually feel sorry for the bloke as he clearly has issues when he gets a little hot and bothered.

The 20,000 US fans at the stadium will be a big boost though.,

Brilliant play by the referee to break up the Ghana attack, and start the Portugal assault, which led to the Boye own goal....

Just saw the replay, watching the USA match. Doing OK so far, but this group could turn upside down in a hurry.

That's if you're supporting the USA of course.
