Almost out of nowhere, Skybet have had Koeman as favourite for an hour now. From not even being listed, he flew straight in at 6/1. Then 5/1. Now 11/4.

I think he publicly stated he wanted the Swansea job before Monk got it, so him wanting to manage in England ( or Wales in that case ) probably has something to do with that.

No mention of Eddie Howe yet thankfully, probably too big a job for him this early in his managerial career and obviously no experience in the premiership.

Actually I say no mention, because he ain't on any odds list yet, but a pundit on the radio did mention him in passing tonight.

What's all this hate for Pochettino? He did a great job with Southampton and is moving to a bigger club so what's the problem...?

They aren't a "bigger" club though. Its a sideways move.

When was the last time Southampton finished top 6?

They sell their best players, sack the manager every season, have a director of football who dictates the transfers.

poch said he didn't want Saints in the Europa League because "its nothing but a distraction", so with all that in mind, how is it a step up ??

Southampton sacked Adkin without much consideration, they are going to lose a few players, there is uncertainty about the financial backing at the club, and as Spurs have found out, selling for big money doesnt necessarily mean you can replace players even if you spend all that money.

Pochettino risks quite a lot staying if he loses his squad, or has to replace half of it.

I think we would all do the same in his position

You are probably right, he has everything he needs right now at Bournemouth, and the backing of the owner. I wouldn't take it if I were him, Bournemouth are on the rise and Southampton are a bit of an unknown quantity right now with the owner not really interested and a couple of players looking like they may exit the door before the season starts.

Besides if you do make him an offer I expect Mr Demin will make it worth his while to stay.

You are probably right, he has everything he needs right now at Bournemouth, and the backing of the owner. Only according to the papers. No actual proof of it yet.

I'm not saying that it wont happen, just that to date it's nothing more than rumour and opinion. No-one left in January. No-one has handed in transfer requests.
