They are, but Norwich could get picked off on the counter, which they nearly just did.

Not looking good for Norwich now.

Big Sam could be about to rescue another team

Andre Marriner won them this game, Norwich had two clear penalties turned down, and countless 50-50's go against them

Yep, never been relegated apparently.

To be fair Sunderland have found a decent bit of form over the last month or so and could easily have turned a couple of the draws into wins.

I also cant remember John Ruddy actually making a save!!

Stats prove me right.... 3 shots, 3 goals. Ruddy is the worst keeper in the league by some distance.

Handy for the goal difference for Sunderland.

Unless Norwich get some luck from somewhere, it looks like they will be back in the championship, and Sunderland yet again look on for the escape.

A Norwich win would have ended the relegation battle, a Sunderland win has meant it is still all to play for.

Both Norwich and Sunderland haven't got the easiest run ins.

Chris Sutton, ex Norwich player, thinks Norwich have had it.

Well yeah, they may as well give up! It's too tight to say that sort of thing, tbh. Was it him who said it wasn't a penalty?

It was, the only person who thought it wasn't.

It was a penalty, no debate really. He did make contact with the ball, but was pretty wreckless doing it.

Having said that the foul on Mbokani at 1-0 was a pure stonewaller. Referee has a lot to answer for on that. The second one on Bassong was also a penalty, Cattermole may only just touch him, but he isnt going for the ball and does stop Bassong making contact with the header in the box. The fact the contact is little doesnt matter, did he impede him? Yes he did, penalty.

Referee got several other fouls at 0-0 wrong for Norwich. Mbokani was wrestled off the ball illegally about 5 times before Sunderland scored, and he didnt give any of them.

Hard to really therefore give Sunderland credit. Second best team throughout, just one team got really lousy luck.
