Probably nothing wrong with the keeper, just the medics trying to justify the red card by dressing him up in neck braces and the like!

Any striker would have done exactly the same, replay shows eyes on ball, trying to nick the ball in front of the keeper.

Keeper in that position is always vulnerable because he's so used to using his arms as a defence, and can't in that situation. Basically doesn't know what to do, and essentially contributes to his downfall by being caught in two minds.

Game over now.

Will be a huge win for City, and they will improve there goal difference now.

Liverpool will be annoyed they should have scored twice, maybe three times, but didnt take their chances. City have been lethal with their chances.

Not watching the game sadly.

Can either team win the title as their defenses seem pretty porus at present.

City have a decent defence, but they play all out football. Depends if Pep goes to places like Old Trafford and plays that open. Liverpool just look shocking defending set pieces.

I've slightly changed my viewpoint having seen it a few more times.

Still think it a bit harsh, and I always feel when a keeper comes out the box he's surrendering some of the protection he gets from it.

After all how many times do you see a keeper wipe out strikers when they go to punch the ball, and always get away with it.

Do you think?

Otamendi is terrible and I still don't rate Stones, although he seems to be improving.

With Navas back in goal there's another weakness.

Its not a world beating defence, but its not bad. Its made to look bad with how open they play, but Id take every single one of City's back line over Liverpools.

Liverpool's best chance might be to lull Otamendi into a false challenge and even the player situation up.

I guess that's an indicator of how bad it is, Moreno is good enough to get a spot!
