Newcastle have somehow done it again. But with Mike loosing approx 100 million on the Debenhams deal, I'm not sure Newcastle will get much money over the summer....

When Benitez talks about Gayle and Murphy still having a Newcastle future (even though he's trying to cobble together a deal for Rondon that would see both of them staying at West Brom) then you know that he hasn't got any money to spend on anyone over the age of 10

Newcastle are definitely safe now after a 3-1 win over Southampton. I think it's Brighton next. Cardiff will be hoping we give them a hiding.

Part of me wonders whether the Prem title will be decided at SJP in a couple of weeks. I can see us beating Liverpool if Man City keep the pressure on them between now and then. Seems ridiculous, because Liverpool are a different class to Newcastle, but then who would have predicted us beating Man City? Not me, that's for sure.

Utd will probably be knocked out by Barca, and indifferent league form will put pressure on Ole before the next season even starts.

Spurs beat Brighton with a late winner. Southampton concede late on against Watford and have to settle for a point

Brighton have only picked up 1 point in their last 6 matches and remain the only club who Cardiff could perhaps overhaul. Worrying times for them. It may be that only relegation could save Chris Hughton's job, which is a shame because I always liked the man. They were comfortable for most of the season, so I wonder if they got distracted by a long cup run? They play Newcastle at the weekend.

Spurs are very close to confirming CL football next season. Given that Chelsea and Man U play each other (so at least one will drop points) and they have 3 points over Chelsea in 4th, one more win from their last three games should see Spurs ensure the CL spot.

Who will blink between City and Liverpool? Most other years a team with 88/89 points with 3 games to go would already have been crowned champion. Amazing that it is still this close. Arguably Liverpool have the easier run-in (along with the advantage of playing first 2 out of the remaining 3 fixtures), but Liverpool have a CL campaign still to factor in. Both teams will be favourites to win all three of their remaining fixtures.

City for me now. Been an amazing effort from Liverpool, but United were Citys last big problem.
