The bloke couldnt even beat qualifiers for about two years, and had to rely on his fan favourite status to enter tournaments as wild cards. Even in minor tournaments he was getting beat by nobodies, and he could barely pick up a racket. Not long before Wimbledon he essentially retired and didnt enter the two slams before that even as a qualifier, having instead chosen to give up and try to forge a career in football, where he played for Hajduk Split in Croatia.
After it was apparent he was no good at football, he only entered Wimbledon out of "nothing to do" syndrome, and I believe he never won more than one or two matches after.
