Didn't see the end but I'm told Ronaldo wouldn't shake any of his opponents hands after the game.

Typical if true of his petulance.

I missed the end as well, but that's pretty disgraceful if true. It looked like he didn't pay Iceland any respect the way he started the game.

He has also criticized Iceland for its small mentality in not trying to win the game and how they celebrated.

Well it does have a small mentality, it only has a population of 300,000 and a point at the euros is a huge achievement for them.

Really sour grapes from Ronaldo.

I also read that Pepe was lucky to stay on the field after kicking an Iceland player. What a surprise

Nah, it was a booking for me. Kicks his leg out as he fell over, which was stupid, but not violent enough to get a red.

The Icelandic player did look deliberately barge into Pepe, so had a little kick out coming his way.

As for Ronaldo, he can go to hell. He spent all night moaning at his own players for not giving him perfect service, but then blew the biggest chance of the night by heading straight at the keeper 5 minutes to the end when he should have scored. If he had played better, maybe the "small" Iceland would have been crushed, but he was as guilty as anyone for under performing.

As for the handshake thing, the whistle came after Ronaldo had hit the wall from a free kick. It was the 96th minute after 3 minutes of injury time had been called, and the ref had allowed the free kick to be taken but blew as soon as the ball wasnt put in the net. Ronaldo seemed to lose it and at this point completely ignored the Iceland lad who went up to him to shake hands.

If thats an example of a more widely encompassing mentality, then Id quite like to be narrow minded and small.

Over-rated bag of sh*t....

Didn't see the game, but how did Ronaldo play? He looked overweight, unfit and totally off his game in the Champions League final.

People still touting him as the best player in the tournament, personally don't believe that he can be right now.

Took 5 free kicks, 4 didnt make it past the wall and one killed someone in row Z. Didnt really create much, missed his best chance late to win the game, and missed one other chances were he kind of fell over the ball.

Not that he is alone. After round 1 is completed we seen nothing from:-

Ibra
Lewandowski
Ronaldo
Alaba
Kane
Griezmann
Pogba
Others as well..... some of the major players have been marked out of games by vastly inferior players.

Same goes for Bale, apart from his free kick he didn't do much in the Slovakia game.

Cue an amazing performance tomorrow!

Payet had a decent game for France and Modric for Croatia.

Rooney played ok. He did have more space than he'll get against a better team, but the boy done ok!

Considering the fact that I slagged him off for the last 6 months saying he shouldnt have been there, it was in my interests to highlight everything he did wrong.

Apart from the shot he put straight at the keeper, which wasnt a sitter, I cant really fault anything he did. Far from playing "ok" I thought he was virtually faultless.
