22 year old winger. Like Zadoc Yohanna, who moved to Brighton a couple of weeks ago, I'm going to mention this because Munoz was Newcastle's fall back target winger once they missed out on ZY. This time they missed out because Liverpool chose to trigger his £34 million release clause. Munoz was also a target of Sunderland in the Jan window. They were unsuccessful because Osasuna wouldn't come down lower than that price. Newcastle clearly spent the last 2 weeks trying to bargain down a club who weren't prepared to do it. Liverpool stepped in, triggered the clause and because he's part of the Spain WC squad, he's having his medical in the USA ahead of his move.

I've never understood why Newcastle haven't done the same thing, tbh. After constantly highlighting the unfairness of financial restrictions for the men's team, there are no such restrictions for the women. Anything Kang can afford to do, PIF could afford to do better, yet haven't. Maybe they lost interest after the departure of Staveley, who was the big driver behind the lasses? It's one of my three big disappointments with PIF

Thoughts? I think he's class but not sure he's £116m that's a hell of a lot of money

It's a better reflection of his value than a PRS induced 35 million

but yeah...... prices are ridiculous and getting worse

and there might be add ons that Man C aren't owning up to. There are unsubstantiated reports suggesting that it might rise to 130 million.

I wonder if Newcastle had a sell on clause inserted? I'll bet you they didn't, because the deal had to be done faster than immediately
