Pardew and Benitez might need to get themselves checked out quick

John Barnes also announced yesterday he has prostate cancer. Seems like everyone who has an association with Newcastle and Liverpool in the past.

Didn't know about Chris Hughton. Always a gent...

prostate for Hughton as well

had the treatment and going okay, I believe

I always liked Hughton and was appalled when the fat knacker sacked him. He was (is) a gent. He never got involved in slagging people off and never offered journos an opinion on stuff that was none of his business. A decent manager all in all

I didn't know about John Barnes

Hughton will always have a special place in my heart for what he did bringing Brighton to the PL for the first time. But doubly so for the manner in which he conducted himself at the club, for the same reasons you have given. If anything, when promoted to the PL I think his genial manner was somewhat a determent - referees seemed comfortable in giving us howler decisions knowing full well that Hughton would defend them, or say their jobs were tough, and not get the boot in most of the time. But refreshing considering the amount of ar*eholes in football.

fingers crossed for his recovery.
