Is Cleverley really that bad?

This is very sad when people resort to this. Won't do the lad's confidence any good at all. I just hope they dont boo him when he's on the pitch.

He ain't the best but this petition has probably cemented his position in the side as Hodgson will want to prove that 10,000 signature petitions won't have any influence on who he plays.

With regards to Cleverley I've always thought that midfielders fitted into one of three categories, defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and playmaker. Not sure Cleverley fits into any of those roles.

Cleverley is one of the worst players i've ever seen at Man Utd. I have never seen him have a great game or make a large contribution to a win.

Obviously there's no need for that petition but it does highlight how bad his continued selection is. He really does offer nothing.

but he clearly isn't alone in that, no.7, so I have no idea why he is being singled out ahead of Wellbeck, or Smalling, or Carrick, or Sturridge, or Young, or......... crikey........... going take all day to do this

Sturridge has been great for Liverpool, can he replicate that for England. Not having the magnificent Suarez alongside him won't help.

He's still worse than those 5 players. Sturridge has been brilliant this season, Welbeck has been fairly good. Smalling, Carrick, Young aren't great but at least they've performed in at least a few games this season unlike Cleverley.

Sturridge is in the Andy Cole mould. He needs 6 gilt edge chances to put 1 away. Which, I grant you, makes him at least twice as good as Wellbeck

I missed half an hour or so of the second half, because the missus had 2 things recording on the planner......... was it terrific entertainment? end to end stuff? wonderfully creative as a rampant England pressed the hard working Danes into full defensive mode?

In stark contrast to the 60 minutes of sh1te that I did see?
