lots of pundits predicting a win for Newcastle at tea time, but they're just deluded, I reckon.... or have allowed themselves to get carried away. Arsenal will win today... they have to and that'll be enough motivation for them to get the job done, I think.

I'd be very happy with a draw today

0-2 in the end

I was never convinced that Arsenal could lose that match, for all the chatter. Newcastle have had a great season and Howe has built a really good team, but there's a big difference in quality between us and the top two

Man Utd dropped a bollok in their game. Newcastle stay third

Klopp will be thinking his mind games are working

Newcastle Arsenal sounded like a cracking game, btw. Both keepers had to make a string of good saves. Newcastle hit the post twice and had a pen overturned. Arsenal scored from distance and forced several first half saves, seemingly, but the points were only secured with an OG

The Newcastle players were cheered off the pitch by the fans after the game. The fans know how far the team has come

That's got to finish the job for West Ham. Surely safe now. They probably were before, but that should seal it.

A massive evening for the bottom sides tonight. Southampton of course need a win to have the faintest of chances to stay up but I reckon and hope Forest win a tight battle. Fulham's form isn't great and Leicester may get a point, which given Leed's run in, could be crucial. I can see Brighton beating Everton, leaving them up the creek!

Predictions are going well so far. Expect Southampton to hammer Forest, at this rate!

Everton do themselves a big favour, whilst Fulham inflict Leicester with a load of harm

Forest 2-1 up atm

my son in law is feeling chuffed as Sunderland snatch the last play off place. However, he was supposed to be looking after his kids on Saturday whilst my daughter and Mrs DF go out for tea, but now I've ended up with the baby sitting duties so that he can go to the pub to watch the match

Playing Luton. Luton's ground isn't up to standard if they do go up, which is no surprise, given the place.

Forest hold on after 11 minutes of added time

With Everton winning as well, the relegation fight contains more twists than a Curly-Wurly bar.

Well that a mad day in the relegation zone. Everton and Forest have crept away and both have games they'd be hoping to win. Southampton are doomed, Leeds need to win win at least one game and get a point in another. That's going to be tough even for 'Big' Sam.

he'll go to the pool club with his mates and watch it on the telly

Saturday is my day to go to the Durham Yorks match, so it now looks like I'll have to come home at the tea interval

I wish Sunderland well, but I think Sunderland would get crushed next season if they somehow made it back into the Prem. It's incredible that they've made it to the play offs. I think they only have one striker and he has been out for a while. The owners would probably have to make a Chelsea sized investment to become even remotely competitive and whoever they are (think it might be a young chap from a monied family) they haven't done that yet. Still..... that might happen if they got into the cash rich Premier League.

Middlesbrough would be better placed to give it a go, of the two Northern sides. Michael Carrick has done a terrific job since he took over and the owner (presumably still Steve Gibson) has history of backing his managers to the hilt with his cash.
