I dont know, the view from front and back looks like he does indeed drop the ball into the net, the side view from the byline however looks more like it slips out of his hands.

18 yard box looked far too open for a decent attacking threat on goal, Roma defence had no shape and Cagliari forwards didn't attack the cross.

I was under the impression that Italian football nearly cancelled this season on the insistence of both the government and the FA unless corruption measures were brought in, so if this is something that happened this weekend, it is highly unlikely that the Roma players were involved.... my understanding is new rules and regulations forced into Italian football have made this issue quite watertight... then again that really means nothing doesnt it!
