Good of England to give Norway a chance by putting Welbeck on.... and his first touch is er, not a touch because he misses the ball

It actually makes me feel sick, him on the pitch with Lambert on the bench.

So what do Enlgand have to do to get a result in Switzland?

At present from what im hearing about this game, they would be pretty happy to take a draw on Monday night?

Didn't watch the entire game but Rooney was absolutely useless yet AGAIN barring that stat boosting penalty, which wasn't really earned by him.

Sterling once again our best player and Sturridge and Wilshere were decent too. Henderson was alright but not sure he is a 2 MF player. Stones looked alright despite playing out of position.

Lots of work to be done. 1-0 win against Norway is a poor result really. Get rid of Rooney for starters.

I said on the hokey cokey thread, Forster is the best English keeper.... proves maybe that people never watch anything outside England when picking squads

Yep, I agree.

I know this is not a reliable source but if Roy really believes that, it'd be hard to decide who the bigger fool between him and Cook is... :facepalm

Good to see Di Maria in top form btw. Good signs for Man Utd. Hopefully, he won't have to carry us though. Germany missing Lahm and Mertesacker? Schweingsteiger and Ozil missed the game too.

England weren't that good last night, but what do you expect? We have an ok team, ok manager, and were playing a team who hardly attacked. Rooney was poor, but Sturridge, Henderson and Sterling played well, as did Baines, though he won't have many easier games than that. Thought Stones should have got forward more, even if he isn't a RB. Roy could have actually changed it at half time and brought Milner on as an attacking RB, which should have given us more of an attacking threat, for all the intent Norway showed.

41 goals for Rooney, and Charlton's record will be broken, but I hope he plays better than that on Monday.

Rooney will indeed need to play better on Monday night, as will a few other players. Last night was a friendly, got the team playing together and at the end of the day i dont think anyone really thought England would put in a sparkling performance.

Monday is where it will count and a draw would probably please England.

England is in transition, loosing Gerrard and Lampard and seeming to have no natural leaders, it will take time. Hopefully Cahills injury is not to bad, and it will be interesting to see who starts on Monday in a few positions. Milner? Welbeck?

He really has not progressed, and i know he has had alot of injuries, but i feel he just is not taking that next step.
