I would have stopped him from hitting me. I wouldn't have kicked him on the ground.

there is no way i would let someone hit me....yes he shouldnt have kicked him on the floor, but the fan shouldnt have grabbed the keeper..

This is the point I was making though. The keeper acted like a thug once the fan was on the ground.

If that thug didn't run onto the field, none of this would have happened. It is entirely his fault and he deserved all the kicking that he got. The thug attacked him so he gave him a taste of his own medicine and kicked him onto the ground so that the security could take him away.

No it's not. If that was Joey Barton instead of a Dutch keeper we would have been outraged.

The opposition manager didn't see a problem in him kicking the 'fan'. He also understood why Alkmaar would walk off the pitch.

It probably wasn't the right thing to do but i refuse to blame the goalkeeper. It was that thugs fault for starting everything.

Also, if the laws in Holland are similar to ours there will no doubt be a queue of lawyers ready to ask the fan to make a claim for compensation.
