It has been a while since Pardew tried to assault someone. He is due.

Didnt see the elbow as got no access to decent wifi nor sky, but the Guardian match thread indicated it was not a carding incident

I got no replay of it.

For some reason the game was on on free TV here in sweden.

Must be the Zlatan connection. No commentary though.

They've just analysed the Mata disallowed goal on BT Sport and he was fractionally offside.

They didn't review the elbow so I guess they didn't think it worthy of a card.

I only saw the Mata one, once and he looked well on. Utd should have had a pen for handball as well. All in all it looked like the ref and his sidekicks had a bad game.

Conte seems to bring out the best in David Luiz as a defender. He marshals that trio in the back including cahill and azpilicueta very well. Terry can't get a look in. Kante is very good as the defensive midfielder of course just like he was at Leicester. Courtois is one of the best goalkeepers in the premiership and that helps.

Costa out of the game against us on boxing day, not that it will probably make much difference.

How did McArthur avoid a booking just then when the ref booked Costa a minute earlier for something very similar.

Don't you just love inconsistent refereeing.

Conte has turned Chelsea into a machine.

If only certain other managers appreciated how important defending is.
