Delph and Wilshere must be the worst CM pairing England have had in a long long time

How stupid is Welbeck...the CB about to knock the ball out for a corner ( which is probably the only way England will score ), so he decides to shove him in the back and give away a FK.

Good weekend for the Home Nations...and Poland.

Scotland and Ireland are in Poland's group.

Poland beating Germany is a disaster for Scotland and Ireland. Beating Georgia and Gibraltar at home respectively is nothing more than par. So overall, in my book the first half of this international week has ben a bad one for Scotland and Ireland.

I agree that the Poland win was a bit of a slap for them both, but it was a good win for Scotland, it was the type of game they would of drawn in previous years.

Indeed. And I'm not saying that it wasn't a good win for Scotland. But if you asked me if they are now closer to qualifying, or further away, than they were a week ago, I would say further away.

On paper, it should be Germany and then two from three in that group. If you want to qualify from that group, I'm not sure that you can afford to slip up against Georgia. Ireland have already won away there. It's a big banana skin out of the way for Scotland, which of course is good, but the slap in the face that Poland have handed them (both) is massive. Indeed, it could be near terminal now if Scotland go to Poland on Tuesday and lose. It would almost certainly lead to Scotland dropping to second bottom in the group, with only Gibraltar below them. And a massive six points behind Poland already.

Russia are 0-0 at home to Moldova, so England aren't the only side f*cking up.
