It's good to see Deon Burton still playing, and still scoring goals...he nets one for Scunthorpe.

Looks like scrooge has taken residence at Sixfields as Northampton Town sack Aidy Boothroyd.

Bit of a shortsighted decision - he joined the Cobblers when they were bottom of League Two in November 2011 and six points away from safety, but kept them up and a playoff final appearance was made the following season.

I would generally agree, however with results going the way they have in recent weeks It doesn't surprise me. The way it was going another relegation battle is likely on the cards and the chairman thought new impetus was needed. I don't massively agree with the decision but it's either the squad isn't good enough and needs improving drastically or Boothroyd lost his way.

Fowler has shown a keen interest to get into management, think he applied for the Bury job not so long ago.

Thought tonights game might be tight, but Leicester have walked all over Derby. Be nice to see Nugent back in the EPL, if they go up.

Leeds sack McDermott with only hours left in the January trasnfer window.

Leeds have recently been a joke club with how they are run, but this has to be the strangest thing they have done.

Cant see how potential new leeds owner can be cleared for ownership of leeds. 2 convictions for fraud, surely the football league wont allow it?
