still.... it all counts and it all helps the co-efficient for the extra UCL place, which, if Villa also go through, is probably assured... so well done to them

Seemingly, only three leagues are left in the race for the two extra UCL spots. The PL, La Liga and Primeira Liga, with the Portuguese league needing all the PL teams to lose all the legs of the QF's whilst also needing Sporting to win the UCL and have both Celta Vigo and Porto as the finalists in the EL

PL teams need a single draw over 10 legs to mathematically knock Portugal out of the race and assure themselves of 5 teams in next year's UCL

Fantastic game last night. Madrid might feel they should have got the draw with Mbappe missing a few chances and Neuer making some key saves, but equally Bayern might have felt on another night they could have put it to bed.

English teams would have to lift all 3 Euro trophies and finish in certain positions outside of the PL top 6, plus Leeds would have to win the FA cup.... I think

The irony is, Slot's championship last year with this team is starting to look an exceptional achievement considering how crap they look this year at times. I don't think you can blame the manager really, Allison is always injured now, the club didn't address the problems at centre defence despite spending 100s of millions, Salah is finished now and he's seemingly not taken that fact well, Wirtz looks at this point one of the worst transfers in PL history, Isak was too bothered about pissing of Newcastle to have got himself fit and has never recovered from those 2 months on strike and has no one but himself to blame, and players like Kerkez and Frimpong just haven't been at the standard required. Ekitike flashes moments of pure brilliance, but he needs to learn to have a good bad game, if that makes sense, when hes not on form he just loses the ball all the time.

The main problem for Liverpool is VVD. He's utterly done, and he is a toxic presence. He spends all his time in-between games moaning about his team-mates being rubbish, but he's the problem. Like at Brighton last game, he dropped Welbeck twice over his shoulder, he cost both goals.. then comes out to demand more from his fellow players. Take a walk mate, I wouldn't pick you in a Championship defence atm.

Again midweek, first PSG goal from the Liverpool corner, 9 players back and VVD isn't in the picture.... just strolled in slow motion back to his position

I agree and disagree I don't put all the blame at slots feet your right the players haven't got going this year and none of us know how much the sad passing of Jota has contributed to the performances this season ...defensively they are a shambles and letting Robertson go is a shocking move imo ...they should have got guehi while they could ...van dikk and konate are finished it's alarming the decline there ...wirtz has improved as season gone on and next year could be a force ...the club are to blame giving Salah a 2 year deal and then ridiculously terminating the second year meaning they got nothing for him bonkers move!!! Isak was a waste of money didnf nedd him and ekitike....have to say though ekitike has been a success he looks a terrific talent and a natural goal scorer
