Callum Wilson has torn the ACL in his other knee in training yesterday, and is out for the season. He hadn't got back to his best after recovering from his last ACL tear, I reckon this could be the end of any career at the top level.

I said on the Football League thread a month or so ago that a transfer to Newcastle would be a good move for all concerned, and it seems he may have gone for around 20 million in the transfer window, but Eddie Howe wouldn't let him go. He's worth next to nothing right now.

Very sad for him, but with the way things are currently going at AFCB the manager needs to turn the fortunes of the club round fast else we could easily get relegated. Obviously I back him to do it, but the supposed weaker clubs at the bottom don't look as weak as they once did.

I'm sure the six of us who are split by one win would all rather be a few points higher up the league, but in reality I can't see any of us being relegated. Five to eight points clear of the next team, Boro, and seven to ten clear of the relegation zone. Any of us could be in top ten after this weekend. Hell, if you'd have beaten Palace in midweek, then all six of us could book our summer holidays now.

Burnley aside, it's not going to memorable PL season for any of us six, and a few - Saints and Bmouth in particular - need to get the summer right, to ensure that things don't become worse next summer. But I simply can't see anyone outside the current bottom six going down. Defeat for Sunderland against Palace and Big Sam would go a long way to wrapping up one of those three spots.

Slight irony is that he's replaced by Gariel, a CB by trade. He might have won the header against Costa, or the header against Alonso. Bellerin, as an out and out RB, never stood a chance.

Yep, they've got three centre backs on the pitch now, although I've never thought that Koscielny or Gabriel look like that sort of player.

Should be loads of space for Chelsea counter attacks, Bellerin was the main speed merchant at the back.

I didn't rate Alonso when I first saw him, but he has become a quality player for Chelsea in recent weeks.

Also ironic that after Costa berated Pedro the other week for not passing to him, Costa refuses to slip Pedro in for a one-on-one chance with Cech. Not even an apology from Costa, as far as I noticed.
