The beautiful game!

at first look i thought that was a harsh red card and penalty but the angle from behind the goal did make it look like he knew what he was doing to use the upper arm

It's painful watching a guy who is talented, but simply couldn't give a damm. Doesn't really close down, doesn't really tackle, doesn't really break a sweat, doesn't really try to get him onside. And for me, it outweighs his talent. Afterall, the talent isn't on a par with a Ronaldo etc.

Great win for Southampton, in fact considering we're playing Man C on Monday and unlikely to pick up any points, the results have gone pretty well today.

I'm not sure he's as talented as people think, I think he has a good footballing brain but he is way too one footed for me which hampers him in alot of situations.

Been waiting six months for someone like Gabbiadini. Finally we might be getting somewhere with replacing Pelle and Mane's goals.

Robbie Brady with a stunning equaliser.

Another player we were looking at in the January transfer window, but he was a bit too rich for us. Mind you him or Jordan Ibe?!

Two-nil, and two clubs seemingly going in very different directions. Lovely.

Avoid relegation in 2016 and 2017 or win the Premier League title in 2016 and get relegated in 2017?

I know which one I would choose, and it isn't the former.

As a business that's all a board will ever ask for. Constant Champions League qualification and all the associated revenue that comes with it.

I think some of the fans are happy with that, I probably would be too, but I guess that comes from someone who supports a club that never wins anything but merely wishes for continued survival.

What would be interesting is if Wenger finished fifth this season and then is unable to appease anybody.

Unlike their rivals, Arsenal are not in a position where they must win trophies in order to pay off debts or recover investment.

Already there are signs the Premier League revenue may have reached saturation point, particularly from Sky who are making cost cutting measures and raising subscription prices. It would be interesting to see what the next TV right deals look like come 2019 and how the Premier League heavyweights react to a possible reduction in revenue.

The Sky mic is picking up some seriously bad language from a small section of the crowd.

Surely they could do something about it.

It's ok it was after the watershed!

I always laugh when the commentators read out that standard apology when the mic picks up bad language. It's a bleeding football match for heaven's sake, if you go to the game you will hear it all the time.

I guess they have to cover themselves in fear of complaints from Mary Redbungalow and her got nothing better to do brigade.

Normally I'm not bothered but this sounded like a handful of fans that were right on top of the mic and it was a bit off-putting hearing them and the commentator at the same time. If there was a facility where you could block out the commentator I probably would have been ok with it.
