Mexico only have their self to blame, stupid on their part.

They battled Holland through the match, were the better team at half time, scored early in the half, then ridiculously tried to defend against a team with a guy like Robben.....

Why didnt they keep playing, they had Holland right where they wanted? Put everyone in the box, didnt pressure on the counter attack?

In the end it was no shock Holland got back into it...

Mexico have been flattered by some luck. They struggled a little against Cameroon, had a worldie game from their keeper, and were the second best team in this game.....

I'm quite happy that Holland got the winner before ET. Mexico looked finished. I could only see a repeat of the Champions League if it went to ET, with just 30 minutes of one-sided football and ultimately a one-sided scoreline.

Like Atletico, Mexico wouldn't have deserved a thrashing like that.

I had a few quid on Mexico to win 1-0, £10 on Holland in ET, £10 on Mexico in ET and £10 each on both teams on pens

All I needed was for Holland NOT to score twice in the last 10mins

I got 98/1 on Brazil, Colombia, Holland, Costa Rica, Belgium, Argentina , France and Germany to make the quarters....

3/8 in....I think Greece might be the shaky draw

Bum, missed the last 20 minutes (and the first half). I thought the Dutch were going home. Glad they're not.

Ruiz gives CR the lead, but they are down to 10men now, could be interesting

Costa Rica need to just keep a high backline and allow Greece to do what they love.... smash aimlessly over from 30 yards 12 times a game....(cue a long range screamer).

Ruiz didn't mean to do that I reckon. Looked liked he scuffed it and got lucky.

I fancy Costa Rica to nick another on the break though. All tournament they have punished teams that over commit...
