Premiership 2014/2015

The beautiful game!

Watched MOTD2 last night. What was the ref up to, in the city-utd game? Two were clear pens, and Fellaini's on Aguero was also one, imo, though that was a tough one to see. Thought City deserved the win of course, even if Utd came back a little in the last 10 minutes. Hart's save from D-Maria was outstanding.

I haven't been following the football at all this season, but it's very hard not to have the results rammed down my throat on everything, so I have noticed stuff.

I noticed that Man Utd spent an obscene amount of money on players, yet are on the same number of points as Newcastle, who are having a terrible season

I noticed that Liverpool spent massive money buying all of Southampton's players from last season, and have 1 point more than Newcastle, who are having a terrible season.

I notice now that Southampton sold all of their players to Liverpool for mega bucks, and are now second in the table

I wonder what happened to football? I think it got lost one morning, popping round to the shops for 20 'bines' and a paper, and somebody probably needs to report it missing to the police.

He originally said it would take 3 months.

The sooner they can get Mourinho the better.

I don't think it's gone missing, just seems to be spending most of its time in the football league these days.

That's true, and on that note I see the BBC are running 50 of the most significant goals in FA Cup history. My favourite has to be the Ronnie Radford goal just for pure drama, crowd reaction, and that pitch.

Don't think the beautiful game ever left it's roots, by that I mean the Football League and Non-League.

a few years ago I took my grandson to Darlington to watch Darlo -v- Carlisle. We were there supporting Carlisle (long story). Proper, full throttle, kick it and run, football. 5-0 to Carlisle with 3 goals scored in the last few minutes. Fabulous stuff. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I never thought i would say this, but Liverpool should be starting with Borini in this type of game. Why oh why do they keep picking Balotelli?

He'll probably score now
