Not in agreement with this. As soon as goal line technology came in (I was against that as well), this sort of stuff was going to follow. They'll be off-side replays, throw in replays before you can shout REF.

Referral systems only work when the passage of play has stopped, football is a game of continunity and such a referral system can't be consistently applied.

Goals like that have happened before. Probably just a lapse in concentration, surprising really as Lopez is a top keeper.

Also, Menez's backheel goal was incredible.

The back heal was amazing, but then i cant help but wonder about the back pass itself in that situation, and then the lack of urgancy from the keeper and the defenders. Im probably just a cynic due to previous in Serie A, but that was beyond poor from the defense and keeper. Ontop of some already shocking un italian like defending and followed by the most inept attempt at controlling a back pass which in any other case you could class as a brain fade. But considering what when on before it. Look at the other goals. Keepers reacting late, diving for balls but hand not out stretched in direction the the ball was coming, poor positioning. Either Serie A has got really bad, or something is amiss. Hopefully its that serie A has got really bad.

Worth noting that on that own goal the goalkeeper Lopez pulled his hamstring just as he was about to control the ball. You can see him fall over afterwards. Definitely not feigning injury as it's confirmed he'll be out for a couple of weeks.
