The underdog theme continues into the new campaign, Championship Blackpool knocked out by League One Preston North End.

Great cross from Lee Holmes, what a player.

Lee Holmes is probably the most under-rated player in the entire Football League, what i'd do to have him back at Bradford.

Didn't see the game but I saw Ince moaning about the 'homer' ref. Does Ince always blame someone else for his failings?

If he can stay fit, he is excellent.

He did alot of charity work in and around Southampton whilst injured apparently too.

One of the very few occasions that i have been glad to see a player that i both like and rate leave the club. Purely because i knew he could play more elsewhere.

That free kick leading to the goal had players marginally off-side but weren't active.

Surprisingly not too bothered about losing to the Dogpests, considering they put out their strongest side and Bradford made 7 changes. Harry Redknapp would be looking to take advantage of the defensive vulnerabilities Town have this weekend, particularly with goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

Can't have cup runs all of the time, if anything last seasons heroics have finally sunken in. The challenge for Bradford this season is to be competitive in League One.

It was inevitable that Bradford would be knocked out in R1 after last years heroics tbh

Parkinson was kind of cut up losing to the Dogpests, he really wanted to win but knew how much last seasons heroics took it's toll on the team and played it sensibly.

Well Arsenal, Aston Villa and Wigan Athletic can breathe a sigh of relief now one of the big guns are knocked out.

We might as well start our end-of-season party now.
