Not sure Sussex will be that fussed, he doesn't appear to be as big a fan of modern Brighton FC.

Brighton were terrible, Derby were excellent.... well done to them, if they play like that in the final they will beat any team in this league. I hope they do go up, and if they do, stick to their footballing principles. They have a few interesting and exciting players (George Thorne and Will Hughes were excellent, as was Jamie Ward yesterday) and play attacking football.

Of course it was disappointing, but I am already over it. As Budget suggests, I don't really have the passion I used to, and had they gone up to the Premier League it would have felt a little fake to be part of it.

If Derby do make it they'll be hoping to accumulate more points than they did in the season when they were last there.

Their achievements this season have been totally down to McClaren. When they came to Dean Court earlier in this season he hadn't been long in charge, but although a very organised side didn't appear to have much of a goal threat. Clearly since that game he has sorted that out well and truly.

I thought Clough was a little unlucky to get the boot, as he had worked ok on a tight budget, but results matter, and there was no way he he would have got them in the top six.

62 matches along with a plaque of injuries, great effort there by Wigan but it just wasn't to be.

There is always next year.
