Wolves Chairman opened their press conference with "we apologise to Chelsea FC for overshadowing their unveiling of the special one, with our own unveiling of our special one"

Considering hes their 5th manager in 16 months and the club have dropped from the Prem to L1 in that time, he just made himself look like more of a tw*t.

According to the "I" newspaper and this link amongst others
http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/bl ... singh.html
Shebby Singh is likely to be dismissed, If it's true then it's a step in the right direction finally for BRFC.

Reckon Real Madrid have charged an obscene appearance fee for this exhibition, heard figures in the region of £250,000

Forget 250k. The Sports Editor at Radio Solent believes their fee is £1m. He estimates ticket sales of £500k, so the board will have to stump up the rest. (Yes there will be food and drink income, but they will also be stewarding and police costs).

I don't know what's more obscene, Real Madrid charging a seven figure fee or AFC Bournemouth paying it and making a six figure loss in the process. Very irresponsible for a club who recently suffered from financial difficulties.

I've got no issues with teams like Madrid charging those amount. If there are opponents out there willing to pay it, then you charge it.

I presume the shortfall will come from their Russian investors pocket, rather than Eddie Mitchell's. But yeah, making such a big loss is hardly sound, economic business.

Be interesting if AFC Bournemouth have television rights for this tie, could claw back some money.

Understandably Real Madrid need to pay associated and travel costs but £1 Million though, are they travelling by private yacht or something?

Coventry City are going to groundshare with Northampton Town, subject to approval.

Strange that they would pay Northampton to share their ground when the owners of the Ricoh have offered Coventry free use of their ground.

Every sympathy with the Football Club owners, the rents of £1 Million per annum are simply unsustainable for a lower league club. Even with the offer of free rent there needs to be cast iron guarantees.

Everything about the Ricoh Arena is money grabbing - £10 stadium parking, £5 parking on official sites (school playgrounds, working mens clubs), £5 return for park and ride, very little street parking in a 2 mile radius.

The club owners knew all this before they played at the stadium, and now they expect the fans to make a 65mile round trip for home games.

No Sympathy from me.

Playing at Northampton is not ideal but there is few available stadia in the West Midlands to cater for Coventry's needs. I expect the stadium owners to know that revenue is shrunk upon the event of relegation, Football League payments are reduced from £4.5 Million to £350,000 not to mention reduced attendances.

It seems odd for the stadium owners to call upon their overdue rent, then offer free rent after the football club went into administration. Why not compromise before? Coventry might have got promoted if they didn't have the upheaval.

Seems the situation is a bit more complex than it is, albeit not much in the way of solid proof.
