Strange things happening with Blackpool, only eight players on the books. Either the chairman is taking the club for a ride or is being rather savvy with the financial fair play rules in place.

At least this one wont have a jury.

Louis Tomlinson of One Direction fame has had his heart shattered after failing to raise the revenue to take over Doncaster.

Apparently the takeover bid was subject to Tomlinson/Ryan proving they have £5 Million in funds, which included a crowdraiser fund of £2 Million which only reached around £700k.

Can't rely on a business model which relies on fans to make up the shortfall, Ebbsfleet United and myfootballclub spring to mind.

Even he's not that daft.

The saying goes - How do you make a small fortune from a football club? Start with a large one.

They might all want to buy their own teams. Then they can get them all into the premier league and change English football as we know it.

Didn't it not go through cos they were looking for crowd funding? I imagine if he actually was interested he could have got private finance at a low rate based on his worth - probably at a lot lower rate than the Glazers. I think he owns properties worth more than the 5m wanted!
