Fair enough, Milner will probably get that spot anyway.

Yep. Rightly or wrongly I simply cannot see Roy leaving Milner out. He's always come across as a Milner fan.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Milner's your perfect squad player. I'd definitely take him.

Telegraph reporting that not only has Cole been left out, but that he has also rejected Roy's offer of being one of the seven reserves.

If true, then Shaw is surely going to the WC.

More than just the Telegraph now. Cole is expected to announce his international retirement. Hardly surprising, given the news (assuming it is correct) and his age.

Carrick and Cleverley also reportedly not going. Lampard, Barkley and Milner are reportedly all on the plane however.

Cole not going isn't a massive surprise and I'm quite pleased. He has though been a magnificent world class LB for us.

Henderson and Lallana in. No surprises there.

Basically just waiting on confirmation on Lambert, the third choice keeper (clearly an important decision) and Wilshere's fitness status.

Milner can play wide left, wide right, or CM if required. Will go IMO. What about Lambert? Lallana will go also.

I heard Carroll isn't going, so I'm presuming Lambert is.
