You are going to hate the World Cup matches hosted in the hotter regions of Brazil, and shown on ITV.

Where temperatures are predicted BEFORE KICK OFF to be above a certain level during a game (I can't remember exactly what that level is), there will be scheduled drinks breaks during each half - even if that level is not ultimately reached. The last time I checked, ITV hadn't yet made their mind up as to whether or not they would schedule adverts for those slots (FIFA know what they're doing by making sure that things are pre-decided, before kick off) - but I think it's safe to say that they will.

Thankfully our game against Italy - our only group game likely to potentially be affected - is on the BBC.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.

Who would of thought that knocking the ball 20 yards infront of you and clattering the player infront of you wouldn't be a successful tactic ? obviously not Glen Johnson

30min delay to let an electrical storm pass over...good decision by the ref, I think.

Seems like it happens a lot.

Safty first. Seem to remember that lighting stike in Africa a few years ago on the football field.

I liked the referee coming on TV and just explaining the situation

Diego Costa scores his first international goal in his 5th game ( 2 for Brazil, 3 for Spain )

Fabregas earlier missed a 4th min penalty, Spain lead El Salvador 1-0 after 65mins

I was quite amused by Townsend, just before the storm, saying that the only surprise was Sturridge missing the target

really?

I take it he doesn't watch a lot of football
