As Shanky said, Michael Kean left. May mean 4 at the back.

Cos I only count Evans, Jones, Rojo, Smalling and Blackett as natural cbs.

United needed some money in, and thats why he was sold, and not sent on loan.

Uniteds wages in the last 6 weeks must have gone through the roof.

Also, since Welbeck will now play in the Champions League, he will probably see this as a step up....

Indeed. United have alot of attacking players to fit into a squad only competing in 2 comps now.

But they are probably a good bet for the FA cup.

I went to bed at 11pm not knowing if Utd had got their man.

Glad I didn't stay up for it.

Seems strange how Welbeck and Hernandez, 3rd and 4th strikers at the 7th best club in England have now become the 2nd strikers at 2 established Champions League clubs.

It's all about fitting into the style of play. Diego Forlan couldn't buy a goal at Man Utd but was quite a prolific goalscorer for every other club he played for pre- & post-Utd.

Why did Negredo leave city? Didn't he score 25 odd goals last year?

Most of his goals were in cups and he hasn't scored since January. Doubt he'd want to be 4th striker.

maybe I am mad, but I'm not disappointed with this window.

Bertrand looks more than good enoui to replace Shaw, Tadic looks world class and softens Lallana leaving, Alderweirer is a La Liga winner and CL finalist in the last few months and should be a suitable replacement for Lovren.

Pelle has had a decent start in replacing Sir Rickie, not too happy with Gaston going, but he wants 1st team football and Mane coming in should be good.

Gardos for Hooiveld strengthens us, Forster massively improves us, Shane Long adds something different.

Jay Rod will be back soon and we kept Schneiderlin, whilst making about 40mil profit, not too shabby.
