So far, we've got :

Brazil vs Chile
Netherlands vs Mexico
Colombia vs Uruguay
Costa Rica vs Greece

Potentially Brazil vs Colombia and Netherlands vs Costa Rica in the quarters? Or how have I got it wrong?

So, five out of the six South American teams advanced (Ecuador let down the team).

Only six out of 13 European teams advance, the same number that advanced in South Africa, down from the 10 that advanced in 2006 to the knockout stage. Having said that, in 2010 three of that six made it to the semis. Let's see if that happens again....

Two of the five African teams advanced, while an impressive three of the four CONCACAF teams are in the last 16. The biggest disappointment was Asia, with none of the four moving on from the group stages. Given that Mexico had to win a playoff with NZ to make it to the World Cup, I think that CONCACAF now needs to be awarded a fourth automatic berth, and that the fourth Asian team should play off with Oceania for the final place.

So we could add Germany vs Algeria and Belgium vs USA to the list. Can a mod/admin update the original post to enlist all the Round of 16 matches together alongwith the dates and timings, etc.

Would be a great QF line up but the way things have gone so far this WC it's difficult to call.

I pick Chile to squeeze past Brazil 2-1, and break the hearts of a nation....

Even though Colombia are playing good football, I suspect Uruguay might edge it.
