This is embarrassing.

You would think this would be a good chance to have a cup run, maybe sneak a trophy.

But this is really bad.

If anyone other that Ben Reeves wins MOTM tonight, its a farce. Absolute class, glad to see ex-Saints doing well.

I know the players were awful but Van Gaal deserves most of the blame for this result.

Can't remember the last time we made the third round of the league cup.

Now comes the dilemma, an easyish home draw to maximise chances to progress or a top ranking premier league team?

I don't care if this is a Mickey Mouse cup.

That was an absolute joke. Even the second XIs of Man City, Chelsea and the rest wouldn't play as badly as that in this cup. I think LVG needs to ditch this 3-5-2 formation now.

Wow. That was a new shower of *modded*. 2nd/3rd 11 it may be but still.

Last game for Hernandez and Anderson at least anyway. Hernandez was linked to Juve before this game :laugh He'd be lucky. Welbeck and Kagawa probably played their last game as well.

Wilson looked okay when he came on, well as okay as you can look with that shite next to you.

I think Van Gaal may have to admit his 3-5-2 ain't going to work with United's players soon at least the team he put out today...

United fans were great though.

That's another thing - what the hell was Anderson doing in there? The same Anderson who went on loan in Italy and used that safe distance to mouth off about Utd and Moyes.

I hoped we'd seen the last of him. He was never that good anyway.
