Bournemouth doing well, Budget.

Can't remember the last time we made the third round of the league cup.

Now comes the dilemma, an easyish home draw to maximise chances to progress or a top ranking premier league team?

You'll probably get us.

The first option then :P

Very amusing!

No that's the worse type of draw, bang in the middle of those options. No live tv coverage and going out tamely 1-0.

Actually thinking about it Bournemouth v Southampton, south coast derby with a possible upset may do it for the cameras.

I hoped we'd seen the last of him. He was never that good anyway.

I genuinely thought United would go on to win when that stonewall penalty wasn't given at 1-0.

Lets not take anything away from MK Dons, they were excellent tonight.

500/1 on Paddy Power for that scoreline.

Wonder if the Glazers had a punt. They needed to as they are going to lose shed loads more money this season the way things are going.

I'm trying to tell myself "it can't get more embarassing than this" but I see we are facing Burnley over the weekend.

This League Cup lark is getting interesting, 4 Premier League sides dumped out in the 2nd Round, including Leicester City who lost to Shrewsbury Town at home!

Feel sorry for Shrewsbury, any other season and they would be making the headlines.

Just saw the replay, got to say some awesome goals by the Dons. They were giant killers in the past from what I remember. A different franchise, but still a lot of the same fans. :salute

United did well, teams like Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid, LA galaxy would have crumbled to maybe an 8-0 defeat. :lmao

Maybe LVG wanted to get dumped out of the league cup as soon as possible? Just fully concentrate on 4th and nothing else?

Would be strange, but maybe thats his only goal for the season, and the only way to attract players for next season? Spurs and Liverpool will have alot of cup distractions this year, whilst United now only have the League and the FA cup when it finally comes around.

Looked at the stats. They don't say 4-0 but that's what happened. All very well LVG saying give it time but the fans are used to success and don't want another season like last year.

I feel Saints could go far this year, Koeman seems to want to treat it seriously.

Hoping Chelsea/City/Arsenal/Liverpool draw eachother

Why not, its certainly a trophy the saints should look to go for. A lot of top teams already out, get a good run and who knows?

Feel Forest is due a cup run as well. Pearce will take all trophy's seriously, and we have some depth. With a good draw we could go far? In saying that we will probably get MK dons next round, or you're guys SP :rasta
