I still don't like the guy, has to punch everything that comes anywhere near him, and prone to the odd howler.

He has quietly improved over the last couple of years. Unfortunately for him England were so desperate for a keeper, the first time he saved something he was being touted as some mega keeper and rushed into the upper echelons.

I think England have a few very good keepers coming through.

I don't get it. Everyone says 0-0 was a great result for ManCity. Ofcourse, their aim should be to win, so winning at home should have been the aim ! Agree, no away goal, but surely they are disappointed at not winning at home? If they are happy with 0-0 are they expecting to lose in Madid?

There's always a good chance of a score draw which would see City through but I personally think RM at home will be too strong for them.

Let's face it, City are the weakest team in the final four so to be in with a shout at half time is pretty decent.

I believe it was Alex Ferguson who once said about the Champions League, the only thing you should aim to do at home is take a 0-0. I believe Athletico Madrid knocked out Real either last year or the year before with a 0-0/0-1 scoreline.

Once you dont concede the away goal, the second leg puts the emphasis and pressure on the home team a lot more.

I agree with you Sussex.

However, I imagine Wolfsberg were chuffed to bits after the first leg of the quarter final!

Athletico are a hard team to like. Their record is amazing, but when you watch all the gamesmanship, the fouling, the claiming for fouls. The coach complaining non stop.

I just find myself not wanting them to win. Not unlike when i'm watching a Jose team.

Atletico take a slim lead to Germany.

As with the other semi it's still anyone's game.

Bayern level, and Muller missed a penalty.

Athletico are committing a lot of fouls.
