Has Pep left Bayern in a stronger position than when he took over, or a worse position?

Difficult one. Probably slightly worse off. He's not done a bad job but would've expected a bit better.

Undoubtably worse off, but Bayern had an ageing team.

In the three years he has been there, Bayern have invested less than Barcelona spent on Suarez when you balance net spend. And in that time he lost essentially Ribery, Robben, Schwini to old age.

People give him a hard time, but 3 titles in 3 years matches anyone in the history of the club, add two domestic cups, and you cant conclude anything other than the fact he did pretty well.

No Champions League, but as I said recently, the best chance they had was ruined by an injury crisis of incredible magnitude

Lewandowski was utterly dreadful in both the legs, especially today.

By the way, an interesting trend and not a small one. Its a 5 year long trend.

Good signs for City? I'd also add that the last 2 Champions League in leap years have been won by English sides. Good omens for City so far. Can they upset the applecart?
