In a scenario where Liverpool win the Europa league and Man City win Champions league but go down to 5th in PL, will 6 English teams qualify for CL next season?

Yes - in that scenario Manchester City would go straight to the group stage, Liverpool enter at the playoff round.

What an amazing comeback from Liverpool. Went to bed at half time thinking that was over.

Yes, I read somewhere that a country cannot have more than five teams in the Champions League, so I guess in that scenario the team finishing fourth would miss out.
