Just today, inherited a good team.

I was under the impression they had been utterly gutted in the last two years. They sold Griezmann to Athletico, Seferovic went to Frankfurt, lost their keeper to Barcelona, Jose Angel to Roma. Asier Illarramendi went the season before too.

Mind, I do know that Vela has rbbed Wengers face in it by being awesome since he went there.

I have a feeling if he'd been allowed to make the kind of signings LVG did then he would probably have got them in the top 3.

I'm not so sure. His style, and attitude was all wrong. He's fine at a club who punch above their weight, but not at one who need to be competing for the title.

I think both of you have a point.

Moyes clearly didnt spend anywhere near as much as Van Gaal, but then I doubt Moyes could have attracted the players Van Gaal has to work with a team not in the Champions League.

Moyes was very negative, and never seemed to understand what to do with the team. I believe he never picked the same starting XI??? Played Phil Jones in midfield in that Champions League game....

They played poor football under Moyes, he didnt sign anyone he needed.... but cant judge a guy on less than a yea after Ferguson left really.

Tbh in this 10 games unbeaten or whatever, I think Di Maria started 2 games, Herrera started 2, Rojo 3, Blind 1, Falcao 3 or 4 and Shaw 2. So his signings haven't played enough yet.

We are still playing pretty poorly IMO but getting results at home and not come across an away team who is clinical enough.

Maybe the biggest miss is Fellaini who has been out since Liverpool and we have 3 draws and 1 win after that game. We should have won at Spurs but we were pretty dreadful at Stoke and yesterday at Yeovil, as bad as Moyes.

Seems to be a bit of turmoil at Barca.

Director of football Anton Zubizaretta has been sacked and Assistant sports director Carlos Puyol has also gone.

im sure Puyol will end up with another position at the club...he's Barca through and through
