The La Liga 2014/15 season thread

Surprised there was no thread for this. Thought I'd set it up. Valencia are currently leading the table with a win and a draw. But Barca, Real, Celta De Vigo, Villareal and a few other teams that won their first matches are yet to play their second game. Surprisingly, Athletico Madrid, tipped by many as pre-season favorites, dropped points in their first game to settle for a draw.

Don't think any have said Atletico are favourites. They've got a good chance of winning again but Real Madrid have to be favourites with their squad.

Will try and watch as many of Reals games as possible partly to watch the progress of Gareth Bale. Have they done any strenghtening of their back line in the off season?

Nope, that's their only concern really. Defence and goalkeeper are okay but could be better if they played Varane and Keylor Navas instead of Pepe and Casillas.

Even if they let in a lot of goals, i'm sure they'll back themselves to outscore the opposition.

Should be some entertaining games this season, involving Madrid and Barca, who are currently drawing 0-0 :coat

Ends up 1-0 to Barca with debutant Sandro scoring the only goal.
