the defensive positioning of the centre backs is abysmal, dont understand why varane who is the best CB in the squad is always on the bench

Varane and Carvajal are the only 2 i rate. Ramos is a good all-round player but his actual defending isn't the best. As for Marcelo and Pepe, they can surely do better than those 2...

He was at least a yard to the side of the defender when he fell over.
